Small Foam Insulated Silicon Pail heater
Fits 12" Diameter containers
Without insulation, heat is able to leave the silicon heater from the side not attached to the drum. Since the drum is being heated, it will most have a higher temperature than the air surrounding the drum heater, therefore leading to potentially more heat loss on the outside than heat gained into the drum. The use of an insulated silicon drum heater helps prevent that heat loss, and effectively increases actual heating power by 100% or more. The insulation also helps maintain heat within the drum, by not allowing it to easily escape the drum where the heater is attached.
These silicon heaters are a little too long to work with their springs on a standard 5 gallon pail which is between 10.5" and 11.5" diameter. In order for them to work, use a strap such as in the secondary photo. These may be used with containers 12" in diameter or larger. If the springs are not long enough, string may be attached to the springs to extend the strapping length of the heater. (Usually the case for 15 gallon drums)

Ideal for heating up WVO for settling or processing biodiesel. This heater is controlled by a an adjustable thermostat.
Flexible springs are used to attach the silicon heater around various diameter drums. The springs can stretch up to about 3 inches.
For plastic drums, it is recommended to keep the thermostat set below 100°C
